This is a great problem, and kudos to Caleb for seeing and cleaning it (personally, I thought the first set of holds were way too slopey). Jesse Redden got the first ascent in March 2003.

We spent a lot of time cleaning the Main Room. It was a garbage dump for the trailer park before we got there. This section was the last route to be done in the Main Room. After a lot of cleaning and pruning here is Stewart on the first ascent.

After Caleb Patterson, pulled the big block onto his chest, Jesse Redden came back one time on epoxied it back to preserve the problem. Jesse regrets doing it to this day, but at least he saved a good problem. I’m not sure if Jesse or David Bristow go the first ascent, but here’s 3 of [...]

You’ll need good edges for this one. After matching on a small sharp crimp, you step right foot onto a tiny edge before reaching for the finish. The problem got it’s name from Jesse bashing his shins every time he lost his foot.
